![]() ![]() I would 100% recommend going into MAC and getting a sample before you buy, you can see if it works well on your skin and test what shade will match you best. I have tried wearing strobe cream or BECCA illuminating primer before but I noticed that the foundation didn’t sit well, when I applied contour and blush it lifted the foundation and make it look super patchy. I found it lays best on clean skin, I will only put on a thin layer of moisturiser and let in sink in then apply. I haven’t used this foundation with a beauty blender (Cause I hate them lmao) but I’m sure it will blend nicely. I will spritz my brush with Fix+ and it blends the foundation so nicely into my skin. When applying it, because you’re not using a lot of product, I find it applies better if I dampen my foundation brush with MAC Fix+. It is so high coverage that I can also use it as a concealer. The smallest bit goes a long way, it is extremely high coverage but also very light weight. ![]() I didn’t notice a massive difference, it seems that with the new formula you need less product and it doesn’t look super matte on your skin, more of a satin look. I read A LOT of bad reviews on the new formula, a lot of people are sad that they changed it and they hate the new formula. This new one seems to gear more towards waterproof/extreme long-wear whereas the old pro long-wear was known as a perfect foundation for oil control. It also has some different claims than the old foundation. The new formula comes in a plastic tube rather than a glass bottle. I want to share one of my all time favourite foundations with you, I have actually talked about this foundation in the past but MAC have since changed the formula. ![]()
